Cultural Realpolitik: The Homosexual Establishment

. . .the New York Pride Parade is an overwhelming display of establishment power.  As the head of the Human Rights Campaign said in 2006, “Corporate America is far ahead of America generally when it comes to the question of equality for GLBT people.”  Large corporations donate to LGBT causes, lobby against religious freedom laws, & present gay people as avatars of consumerism. . .

Kevin Cardinal Farrell (Pic Credit: Life Site)

Rocked by Scandals, the Vatican Should Cancel the Pro-Homosexual World Meeting of Families

. . .claims of innocence are not going to be enough any longer, nor the protections of the old-boy networks.  Take the case of Kevin Cardinal Farrell, one-time auxiliary bishop of Washington D.C., who claims, implausibly, not to have known anything irregular about McCarrick, with whom he lived for six years. . .

. . .It seems highly unlikely, though it’s just barely possible.  And if so – a big if – Cardinal Farrell himself may now become a victim of McCarrick’s evil deeds.  Farrell will be one of the speakers at the World Meeting of Families in Dublin later this month.  Whether he’s to blame or not, his credibility as head of the new Dicastery for Laity, Family, & Life has been damaged.  And will not be restored unless there’s a thorough investigation of what he & others knew – & didn’t know.

Traditional Latin Mass with Raymond Cardinal Burke (Pic Credit: LIfe Site)

Liturgy’s Changes Resulted in Abandonment of Commandments, Gospels

. . .I am of the opinion, to be sure, that the old rite should be granted much more generously to all those who desire it.  It’s impossible to see what could be dangerous or unacceptable about that.  A community is calling its very being into question when it suddenly declares that what until now was its holiest & highest possession is strictly forbidden, & when it makes the longing for it seem downright indecent.  Can it be trusted any more about anything else?  Won’t it proscribe tomorrow what it prescribes today? — Cardinal Ratzinger. . .
